Application:
The time sensor is a photogate, accurately measuring the movement time of objects. With it, a variety of physical experiments in kinematics and dynamics can be finished. Generally,it is either incorporated with Yoco multifunctional dynamical and air tracks or used singly,such as measurement of vibration cycle of pendulum.
Usage:
Photogate sensor adopt high precision light sensitive apparatus to constitue a consecutive light path. With knowledge of the length of moving object, the moving speed can be obtained by recording the time when object blocking light path. If two photogate is used at the same time, not only the object passing time through each sensor, but also the moving time between the two sensors can be measured
Attention:
Before the experiment, the moving object should be tried to pass through the sensors several times, to ensure it’s smooth and steady movement and block light efficiently.
